Dark Crystal 7-Dice Set

Artifact Alert: While the d20 in this set is not, strictly speaking, a loaded d20, it does roll an unnatural number of nat 20s. The reason is because of a manufacturing defect we have discovered on the 1-face. It is slightly larger than the other faces on the d20. When rolled, this causes the 1 to land on the bottom–which means the 20 lands on the top–more than a normally balanced d20. Use this information as you will.

This set features crystal-clear resin liberally dusted with iridescent glitter and black coloring set to one side of each die. If you are looking for something unique to roll, this set, inked in gold and imbued with awesomeness, is it!

Each set consists of the following:

  • 1 d4
  • 1 d6
  • 1 d8
  • 1 d10
  • 1 d%
  • 1 d12
  • 1 d20

My teenage son is new to the world of RPGs, so what better way to get him into it than with his own set of dice and a cool leather dice bag? The dice have a nice weight to them and feel comfortable in the hand -- not to mention that they look really sharp. He's happy, so I'm happy.

Gift for a coworker

I know nothing about DnD but he loved them so that's awesome. Super timely shipping and they came in a neat little bag

Dark Crystal 7-Dice Set

Great Dice!

Beautiful dice. Quick turnaround time. Rolled a handful on Nat 20s on my first go round with them!

Looks cool, from a certain point of view

The photos for these dice looked so good I had to buy them. When I received them, they also look great, as long as they fall on one specific face.

See, they've got the sparkles throughout the dice, but the purple coloring is done by putting the color all on one face. For instance, on the d20, the 20 side is just a sheer black, but you get the awesome crystal effect when you look at it from the 1. So sometimes it looks awesome, other times not so much.

The d4 is the worst in this regard, since the coloration is in one of the points. No matter where it lands, you're not going to get that cool effect.

However, I did use these dice as a DM for my most recent game, and they rolled enough natural 20's for my players to beg me to go back to using an older set, so I still consider this a worthwhile purchase.
