In the world of tabletop gaming, a single die isn't going to do you much good. You need dice sets, preferably lots of them! Different tabletop RPGs will often require different dice sets. While none of the standard, gaming dice sets will ever get you all the dice you want (and, really, is there such as thing as enough dice?), each set will give you all the basic dice needed for your game of choice.
7 Dice Sets
7-Dice sets are used in Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Earthdawn, Call of Cthulhu, Eclipse Phase, and many more. In fact, the popularity of D&D cemented the 7-dice set as the dice set standard. Awesome Dice is proud to bring you these sets in a dazzling array of styles including opaque, translucent, glow-in-the-dark, metal, gemstone, and more!
10d10 Dice Sets
10d10 sets were made popular by the World of Darkness Storyteller System. This system is used in Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Changeling, Wraith, and Aberrant. This set is also used in the Legend of the Five Rings RPG. As the name suggests, a 10d10 dice set includes 10 ten-sided dice. All ten-sided dice are numbered 0 - 9.
12d6 Dice Sets
While the world of RPGs thrives on many different dice types, the six-sided die has remained at the core of many role-playing games. In fact, games like Shadowrun, Champion, and Obsidian rely exclusively on six-sided dice. A good 12d6 set will handle almost all the dice rolls necessary for these games. Although rare, it is possible for well-optimized characters to require more than a dozen dice for certain rolls. Here, the solution is to roll the dice multiple times, purchase more than one 12d6 dice set, or choose the larger 36d6 dice set.
36d6 Dice Sets
36d6 sets are used in Champion, Warhammer, and within many wargaming circles. This set has a multitude of uses in other RPGs as well. If nothing else, when it comes to NPCs, the sheer amount of d6s present in this set offers a cheaper alternative to mini figures.
