All our stone D&D dice sets are around standard-size, somewhere in the neighborhood of 16mm. However, because they are all hand-carved, each die can vary by a couple of millimeters.

Natural Stone & Hand-Carved Disclaimer: these dice are made from natural stone. Therefore, there can be as much as considerable variation in coloring and patterning. No two sets are exactly alike, so the set you receive won't be exactly as pictured. Each die is hand-carved, which means there may be imperfections from die to die. This can include die at slightly different sizes, numbers not perfectly centered on a face, or faces not being perfectly symmetrical (common on d12s).

Koplow is a major dice manufacturer, but is less well-known than the giant Chessex. This is partially due to the fact that Koplow focuses a lot outside of the RPG industry. They manufacture double dice and wooden dice, both of which are pretty awesome.

About Genuine Leather

Our leather dice bags are made from genuine leather. This means that every dice bag you purchase will be unique. The leather will have slightly different textures ranging from smooth to that slightly wrinkled look commonly associated with worn leather. Some bags may have minor "blemishes" as well. These are just characteristics of the particular piece of leather used in the construction of the bag. This is a large part of what makes each bag so unique. 

Suede is a piece of hide that has been separated from the supper, smoother layer of leather. This suede layer is then buffed (and usually dyed) to give it that classic-suede appearance. 

Your leather dice bag should not require any special care. If it does start to dry out or if it gets stained, you can care for it as you would any other leather item. Just take care not to buff off any foil design! 

Plastic dice sets are great, but some tabletop gamers prefer the heft of metal as they make their roll. Metal dice sets fulfill that need in a variety of weights, materials, and colors. The least expensive options are made from a zinc alloy. These sets are the most likely to feature vibrant colors. More expensive options include copper, bronze, and tungsten. 

If you keep your metal dice around for many years, the bronze and copper sets will eventually acquire a patina as the metal slowly interacts with the oxygen in the atmosphere. 

Because metal provides much more rigidity than plastic, you can get much more creative with the structure of each die. A great example of this is our Thunder of Dragons hollow metal dice set.

The dice in this category are metallic in color, but do not actually contain any metal. Instead, these are color combinations that dice manufacturers use to provide metallic-looking dice at lower prices. To be fair, these dice are light and beautiful, but don't expect them to appear as real metal.
